Here is a pic of the desktop in Quirky 1.20 NOP after I modified it with iComity-XP, .gtkrc-2.0 and XPLuna, I have also changed the task bars, giving it a Ubuntu look, check it out Here

Look Here for the stuff to do it

@joel

e always looks handsome - too bad the moon and anaclock gadgets never got tweaked from the old epplet style (border and squareish bg almost always distract that little minor bit on those) .. save for all that extra space-eating stuff in the gecko that's one functional beauty :)

would you mind sharing that conky script? I dont use conky personally, but a buddy of mine does and he's been wanting something with that look. We've checked conky script sites before and have never quite found something that fits what he wants.

Hi Q5sys, i posted a slightly updated pet for this conky theme in the lupu testing thread (page 95) - Down side is this conky script and its image frame are limited to 1280 pixel resolution only.
If you just needing script download and - terminal here - pet2tgz

First install conky from puppy lucid repo in puppy package manager then install conky.puppy-0.1.pet

This is 1280 pixel version only.
http://www.speedyshare.com/files/236535 ... py-0.1.pet

Config file is: /root/.conkytheme/conkyrc

added little turn on/off gui: /root/conky.switch
http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewto ... start=1410

If you need higher res and are willing to do some editing there are the Ubuntu versions on http://gnome-look.org search for conky lucid

thanks stu90, you're the man.

To be honest, I havent been following the lucid pup development. I use LightHousePup 90% of the time, so pretty much have been focusing on working with it and doing bug finding and all that fun jazz. Guess now I have a reason to take the time and do some quality reading in the Lucid thread. :P

Thanks again for the info on the conky script!

Trying to build a Puppy from Ubuntu 10.10 packages with 2.6.34.x or 2.6.35, need it for my cutting edge netbook, but until it's ready I'm working with my desktop distro, Fedora :)

Very nice work! I like it. I was thinking "what Conky is that?" then I saw Gkrellm. Has anyone done a Puppy with AfterStep? Does anyone know of this?

That is a stunning wallpaper. I would leave it like that too. No I wouldn't. I just have to keep diddling and tweaking but that is just my obsession, drives my wife crazy. :P

@`f00

Thanks, actually I had all the modules on inset, normally its on plain so there is no box around it. Thats why I love Enlightenment, its so configurable. Not only that it looks nice and is fast. Obviously not as fast as jwm or IceWm but its much better than any DE. To be honest Ive completely switch for a year or so after being on IceWm for a few. I find it much easier to use.
I am not a Mac, not a PC... I am a Puppy.

Lupu with Trinity (the KDE 3 fork). I'm trying to make a complete Trinity suite for Puppy, so far I have 3 SFSs, one with libraries KDE needs that Puppy lacks, one with kdelibs and another one with kdebase (a basic KDE desktop).

Now I'm polishing it, adding the right applications (things like Ark) and ironing out issues (like the mess on the desktop, I have no idea what causes this)

And here's my new desky on my two weeks old Eee. I still can't use it for everything, since it doesn't have a decent distro, that's some issue I'm trying to work out

Started working on a slim puplet built from Ubuntu binaries, with Trinity and 1-application-per-task, as you can see in the screeny. Fun stuff!

For some reason Trinity and all KDE 3 apps appear to be exceptionally small-screen-friendly :)
