Hi Q5sys, i posted a slightly updated pet for this conky theme in the lupu testing thread (page 95) - Down side is this conky script and its image frame are limited to 1280 pixel resolution only.Q5sys wrote:would you mind sharing that conky script? I dont use conky personally, but a buddy of mine does and he's been wanting something with that look. We've checked conky script sites before and have never quite found something that fits what he wants.stu90 wrote:Updated to lucid 508 with puppy branded ubuntu conky frame.

First install conky from puppy lucid repo in puppy package manager then install conky.puppy-0.1.pet
This is 1280 pixel version only.

Config file is: /root/.conkytheme/conkyrc
added little turn on/off gui: /root/conky.switch
If you need higher res and are willing to do some editing there are the Ubuntu versions on http://gnome-look.org search for conky lucid
thanks stu90, you're the man.
To be honest, I havent been following the lucid pup development. I use LightHousePup 90% of the time, so pretty much have been focusing on working with it and doing bug finding and all that fun jazz. Guess now I have a reason to take the time and do some quality reading in the Lucid thread.
Thanks again for the info on the conky script!

Thanks, actually I had all the modules on inset, normally its on plain so there is no box around it. Thats why I love Enlightenment, its so configurable. Not only that it looks nice and is fast. Obviously not as fast as jwm or IceWm but its much better than any DE. To be honest Ive completely switch for a year or so after being on IceWm for a few. I find it much easier to use.

I am not a Mac, not a PC... I am a Puppy.

Lupu with Trinity (the KDE 3 fork). I'm trying to make a complete Trinity suite for Puppy, so far I have 3 SFSs, one with libraries KDE needs that Puppy lacks, one with kdelibs and another one with kdebase (a basic KDE desktop).
Now I'm polishing it, adding the right applications (things like Ark) and ironing out issues (like the mess on the desktop, I have no idea what causes this)

And here's my new desky on my two weeks old Eee. I still can't use it for everything, since it doesn't have a decent distro, that's some issue I'm trying to work out
Started working on a slim puplet built from Ubuntu binaries, with Trinity and 1-application-per-task, as you can see in the screeny. Fun stuff!
For some reason Trinity and all KDE 3 apps appear to be exceptionally small-screen-friendly
