Your DNS servers aren't listed in resolv.conf, for some reason, only router broadcast. Add your DNS servers and I bet it works.James C wrote:It's really strange....Firefox works, installed Arora browser.....it works. Google Chrome and Opera work.......just not Dillo and package list updates.
I'm using 484 right now.......
Hi gposil do you have to resize it each time? or does it remember, If it does remember then just add your /root/.gPlanarity hidden folder to the pet and you should be good, If not then for some reason gPlanarity isn't reading its config files in root. hmmm also you might want to make sure you don't have a gPlanarity in usr/local/bin, the one I made is in usr/bin, if you have one in usr/local/bin maybe that one is messed up and needs to be deleted before installing the one I made up and also maybe delete your /root/.gPlanarity folder before installing the pet package.gposil wrote:Nope....same...
Hi gposil I think its thegposil wrote:Have to resize each start...there is no window size or placement data saved in /root/.gplanarity, only game score info.

Default theme is ok, others not so much.gposil wrote:DaveS,
It appears the prob you are having is a well known problem with some 965 intel chipsets...could you change the Firefox theme to default and see if there is any change...it has been reported that certain Firefox themes display this glitch...
The apparent fix for all the other reports seems to be to upgrade Xorg, or don't use the themes that do it(not really acceptable).
Could you report on the theme change whether it fixes the screen tearing artifacts etc...

I see that happening on 484 beta2 with patches, which I'm still using on my lappie, have not had time to do much testing on beta 3 yet. At this point I'm just happy it reacquires the IP by itself.Béèm wrote:Regularly the connection cuts and pwireless 2 is requiring a new IP (I see this in the message on the top of the screen)
I didn't have this connection loss in 482b5 nor in any other version of puppy.
I have this on my 2 machines, the Thinkpad R40 and the Medion MD8818
Anyone else having this issue?
hmmm, wasn't aware of a beta 3 announcement.tubeguy wrote:Regarding beta3 though, the wbar tray icon is a nice touch.![]()

This happens when you have a weak or flaky connection. Every time the connection drops, wpa_supplicant tells dhcpcd that the interface is down. There is a work around to tell dhcpcd to ignore those messages. You need to edit /etc/dhcpcd.conf and add to the endBéèm wrote:Regularly the connection cuts and pwireless 2 is requiring a new IP (I see this in the message on the top of the screen)
