NO. I am using TahrPup on the HP15 while typing this.

The only thing TahrPup won't do on this machine is operate the Broadcom wifi properly - so I am using an old Belkin USB wifi stick.

I have been using TahrPup exclusively for about 18 months having switched from Xubuntu. I particularly like the fact that it can be installed by copying 4 files and editing syslinux.cfg and also the fact that all the changes go in a save file so the whole thing is easy to backup. TahrPup has a menu option Menu/Setup/quickpet tahr which includes the ability to upgrade video drivers. My HP15 laptop uses an AMD graphics system and works properly with the AMD driver.

Will there be a quickpet menu for Xenial?

sometimes the correct driver does not work with the kernel you are using and needs to be recompiled for that kernel .

I have now been trying a HP15-af154sa laptop and VLC works fine. The only problem is lack of support for the Broadcom BCM43142 WiFi card. I have asked about that in this Broadcom Thread.

Incidentally VLC and other stuff is also working perfectly with 32bit Tahrpup.
