npierce,
Thank you very much! It was fixed!

I had the same problem with Slacko 5.5 and the /America/New_York ...

Hello,
I've been using an old Dell laptop (CPxJ, PIII, 650MHz, 512MB RAM) in my basement as an audio streamer. I can stream some radio stations using VLC, but others have Web only interfaces that require Flash.

Re: Hypothetical Situation Paranoia
I've been using Puppy for several years now and never found a virus on my Puppy Linux frugal install. [snip]
So having withstood the test of time Puppy Linux seems pretty bullet proof to me, even though we run as root.
Not bullet proof. Just never attacked.

Re: Flashplayer 10.3 r181
Flashplayer 10.3 r 181 is packaged differently than usual ... The pet is 12MB!!!
You can get the pet down to ~5MB if you prune the contents down to:
/usr/bin/flash-player-properties
/usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/libflashplayer.so
/usr/share/applications/flash-player-properties.desktop
/usr/share/icons ...

Firefox 3.6.4 Update Freezes System -- Lucid Puppy 5.0.1
Hello,
I updated Firefox 3.6.3 on my Lucid Puppy 5.0.1 box to 3.6.4 using Firefox's built-in update feature. After doing so, the system froze on a few occasions while using Firefox. Uninstalling Firefox and reinstalling Firefox 3.6.3 via quickpet eliminated the freeze-ups.
Anyone else have this ...

MPlayer with Audio Filters?
I'd like to use Puppy to play podcasts at a higher tempo (faster speed with same pitch). I tried invoking the "TAP Pitch Shifter" <http://tap-plugins.sourceforge.net/ladspa/pitch.html> from the command line, but Puppy's default MPlayer does not appear to recognize audio filters.
