Made it to the point where I'm asked to browse to the CD or downloadable version of AOE.

Boot DebianDog-Jessie:

Code: Select all

apt-get update
apt-get install wine libtxc-dxtn-s2tc0 libtxc-dxtn0 libpulse0 fonts-liberation libasound2-plugins

Code: Select all

apt-get install playonlinux
Remove the downladed debs from /var/cache/apt/archives to save space:

Code: Select all

apt-get clean
PlayOnLinux doesn't start as root. Exit X and type:

Code: Select all

login
Type user name puppy and password puppy.
Type in terminal:

Code: Select all

playonlinux
Choose "Install a program", Then section Games and mark Age of Empires III.
Screenshots for the rest:

Here you have to browse to the CD or exe file for AOE-III
I don't know if it will work but this is all I can suggest.
