I wasn't monitoring the Bugs forum, so I missed the announcement of Slacko5.5 on March 4th

Seems there should be an announcement in the Users forum.

Anyway, I'm posting this from my 1998 500MHz P-III (Katmai) Dell Optiplex GX1 (768MB RAM), running Slacko5.5-PAE.

I don't find a problem with PAE, and prefer to run the same version of Slacko on this and my more recent homebrew PC that benefits from PAE. Having one boot CD is convenient.

There were no problems booting Slacko5.5, and the only task was manually loading the snd-cs4236 module and using retrovol to get sound working.

Connecting to my wireless network was a snap with sns.

Very nice release.
