@ zagreb999:-
You are talking about
http://forum.slitaz.org/
....yes?
It's a few years since I registered, but from what I see of it, it's pretty straight-forward. Above the 'Username/Password' boxes (top right corner), there's the option to register.....in small print.
This is the official SliTaZ forum, BTW.

Maybe the problem is that you don't get an email (to finish registration).Mike Walsh wrote:@ zagreb999:-
So.....where's the problem? What happens when you click on 'Register'? Out of curiosity, what browser are you using for this?
Mike.
I've tried to register a couple of months ago and didn't succeed because of that.

@ Fred:-
Yeah, that's quite possible. Rockedge was saying the other day about the same issues with our Forum registration, and the fact that it's probably not working anymore due to the versions of PHP and mysql on John Murga's server being way out of date:-

We may have to "bite the bullet", and finally upgrade. I must admit, I've been surprised for long enough that the Forum is still functioning, given how old the software seems to be.....
-------------------------------------------
He and rufwoof have done a wee bit of research, and it appears the PHP stuff would only need a small upgrade 'bump' to support the newest Forum software.....which would also include 'upgrading' to https. And that would appease a lot of the regular 'grumblers'..!
From what rockedge was saying, I think he's going to put together a 'trial' set-up of the necessary newer forum software to see how it would look & function..? We shall see how it goes, I guess.
Knowing this lot the way I do, I rather think we'll resolve the issue, one way or another. None of us want to see the Forum's 'treasure' of years past disappear into the black hole of cyberspace, do we?

If I may... deciding to https has the usual (previous discussions) caveat that older pups with older browsers can't login. By best thoughts here are TLS1.2 using a GCM128 cert. This is still "secure" and goes back to FF27. I do think series 2 kernels are going to be a bit problematic. Series 3,4,5 should pass.

@ 8Geee:-
From what I can understand, rockedge will be making both domains available. Those that have no choice but to continue to use plain 'http' will be able to do so. Those who prefer 'https' will have that choice.
QED....although your assessment is, AFAIK, a good summary of the facts as they presently exist.
