how to copy-paste from terminal to Browser window, Fatdog64

#1 Post by dbabits »

Highlighting in the terminal with a mouse copies, and clicking on the mouse wheel pastes. But this only works inside terminal.

I could not figure out how to copy from terminal, but paste into Chrome window.

It seems that the clipboard is not shared.
Same applies to Ctrl-Delete/Ctrl-insert combination.

Thanks.

Just selecting text in terminal copies it.

Paste anywhere by clicking mouse middle button.

Every Puppy I've used, I could select text in rxvt (by holding down the left mouse button while dragging the cursor), then paste the text into the forum's compose window by simultaneously clicking the left and right mouse buttons.

You can also right click in the program window and select paste.
The things they do not tell you, are usually the clue to solving the problem.
When I was a kid I wanted to be older.... This is not what I expected
