Thanks Phil - A true gentleman.
Works fine
That was really slowing things down .
Did not change anything else .
Simply updated quickpet and then chose Librecad .
Offer stands , if I can help with anything just ask.

A while back I had a conflict with Q4 packages and mentioned it here I think .I noticed I downloaded VLC via Quickpet just now and it asks you to install the Q4 packages again.
This time I did not do so and the program seems to run as expected regardless. I'm wondering if the message to download Q4 libraries is necessary and perhaps installs a different, conflicting version?

Hi Phil .
I wondered if you could put gMTP on Quickpet Precise .
I've been downloading source files and trying to compile for days now and it just seems to always need something else .
gMTP is very handy for Android phones versions 4 on to open them up for file saving and transfers etc. I expect it would also be useable on iPhones but don't know anything about that. The camera programs in Puppy often don't work properly for version 4 onwards.
There is a thread on it here
http://murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=91442 but I have not pawed through it yet but I think I got a working pet package from here before.

I have success connecting to iPod, iPad and Android (CyangenMod) using CamPhoneTab 1.5. Would this be a solution?

Another I came across is Viber. A linux alternative to Skype.
It uses QT5 though so I was unable to get it running .
Its encoded end to end so a more secure messaging video app
