My Puppy is more gorgeous than yours!
Here, replace /etc/xdg/menus/xfce-applications.menu with this file attached
xfce pet also has an additional icon theme which makes all icons work i believe, really if you want all configured just download the pet
xfce_full-4.6.2-i486-squeeze.pet

Wot no videos of the most gorgeous desktops?

Well I used 3 here:

is your favourite there?

Nice, is that dust gtk theme?
Would be usefull to have some gtk engines compiled, someone posted clearlooks pet recently somewhere though but I will try see if it compiles on dpup. Oh and did that shutdown dialog pet work?
EDIT: Actually compiles fast, can you take this pet steve_s and see if you have that error output anymore, should also make the theme you're using even nicer

It does make it look better! No, the logout does exit to prompt, but no reboot or poweroff as they also exit to prompt...but I'm still having to enter startxfce4 at startup...I have both /etc/windowmanager set to "startxfce4" and /root/.xinitrc's last line as "exec startxfce4"...I wonder if one of those should be changed?dejan555 wrote:Nice, is that dust gtk theme?

Also send you a pm (and micko, hope he got it) about the Pupflux 5.1.1 regarding pwidgets...
Oh, and that pet DOES make this theme look sharper...it is Shikki-dust theme, good eye!
Nice call...that certainly is part of it...I had to make sure that section of .xinitrc is commented out...runtt21 wrote:Steve try turning the rox pinboard off in .xinitrc. I have to do that for e17.
Update now: I can use dejan's shutdown and reboot except that I have to use a modified script for both of those, slightly changed ones from Pfluxlite, that kill x, wait a second or two then reboot or shutdown. So, I can do that now from the logout.
However, if I reboot, it won't reboot into xfce4...it balks at the start of X, just before it shows the cursor, then I have to manually shut it down.
If I poweroff, then power it back on, it starts into xfce4 just fine.
So close! I know that's not what this thread is about, but thanks for the feedback folks!

I wish I could still use that wallpaper on here. I have a different resolution now, and while I still have the same picture, I have to edit it again. :c
My regular Puppy I'll cap later. In the meantime, KDE.
Because I run it on two different computers with two different resolutions, I have two different desktops for each size. c:
Desktop 1 (1920x1080)
Desktop 2 (1024x768)
Desktop 3 (1920x1080)
Desktop 4 (1024x768)
JWM
I should mention I'm not into Japanese girls in bikinis; but I liked the matching factor of it (as they're both from the same calendar page).
