Thank you, drongo.

Which screen would that be?

Thanks for your reply, and for affirming the paucity of applications in the software repository.....

Caieng....... most of the problem with installing software into Puppy Linux is just finding it in the first place. The best tip I can give you is to use THIS search engine, save it as a bookmark:

http://wellminded.com/puppy/pupsearch.html

This will often find you a 'one click' install. For VLC, I found this:

http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=43728

There are probably others..........[/url]

BTW, most of these downloads require a password and username. The ones you need are username=puppy password=linux
Spup Frugal HD and USB
Root forever!

caieng.

To install new software puppy linux uses a .pet file this is very similar to an .exe file you use on windows, just download to your computer and click on it.

To find .pet files use the search page DaveS posted or you can look through the software forums here: http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/index.php?f=11

regarding the online radio stations you wish to listen to on http://www.listenlive.eu/classical.html
I know this is not the one click soulution you are looking for but if you -

step-1. right mouse click on the links under listen live then 'copy link address'
step-2. in gxine media player go to file>open MLR then paste the link address from step 1

you should be able to listen to radio stream.

alternatively if you want to listen to online radio channels often open pstreamvid 1.3 followe step-1 as above then paste into URL box give the station a name then' add channel'
