puppy 4.3.1 screen locked

i tried to run memtest and it froze puppy in his tracks! no response from keyboard or mouse....is there any way to shutdown/reboot besides power off? also ran pwidgets pet and the analog clock app grayed out my desktop background? thank you, mitch

If you don't have any response from your mouse or keyboard, then there is very little you can do. Does the keyboard not react when you press Caps_Lock or Num_Lock? Alt+Ctrl and backspace should take you to the prompt, then you can startx but if that fails, then all you can do is hold the power button on your PC until it turns off, saves you pulling the plug.
