Hi Dogs1985

1st make sure to select the correct puppy version, many drivers are kernel specific

I believe nvidia keep legacy support in the latest drivers

btw the laptop uses 6150GO, just 6150 was the desktop version, if I remember correctly

They are up to version 185 or something, but try the highest number [180] and work back [173, 96, etc], if it doesn't work
Package manager will uninstall as well as install
I think you may need the settings module as well

alternately...[see supported products]

i using this pet format install.
http://www.puppylinux.org/?q=node/2222

when i click on "nvidia x server setting". it display this message

Code: Select all

You do not appear to be using the NVIDIA X driver. Please edit your X configuration file (just run `nvidia-xconfig` as root), and restart the X server.
i edit in /etc/X11/xorg.conf. "nouveau" -> "nvidia" also cannot.
can someone help me?

I don't know if localization goes to config scripts, or if they need to be in English/American

I've downloaded and installed MediaPup, which has k2.6.21.7 installed on my desktop computer.

I can't seem to find the Nvidia drivers for this. I did a search and discovered that for my hardware (Nvidia GEForce 6100) apparently the driver for this is 180.44.

Does anyone know where I can find a pet package to download and install?
