I use the same version as you do...but I dont get those errors.
If you are on a new installation (frugal or otherwise), then just ignore those errors. They are most probably libraries required by some of the many functions of the program that may not be used.
Still, search for those libs on google and put them in your /usr/lib directory.

Also, the error merely states that the libraries are missing. That should not stop you from trying out the program anyways. Try it out, and run a few Windows programs and other stuff. If it works anyways, then forget the whole 'missing files' things. If it doesnt, post your error here.

Hope this helps.

It looks like you are using my version. You can ignore any of the dependencies that petget spits out about wine - they are "soft" dependencies... meaning that you only need it if your win32 program requires it.

If you find that you need the dependencies they are here:
http://puppylinux.asia/members/T/486_pet/ puppy:linux

jack, esound, openldap, gnutls

for 3d accelerated video support just use petget to install xorg full dri (contains gl, glu...) you may need to reconfigure video

Hope this helps ... btw I just compiled 1.1.28 see link above

I tried out your 1.1.28 and it works perfectly on my install. I guess I already downloaded those dependencies sometime back.

@alix board
you should try out that new version. incidentally, are you trying to run some games though wine? ( i have had a bad experience with that)

Hi Vyse,

i use wine only for applications, not for gaming. I try to run Team Viewer, but i have the problem, that the "Mouse Click" on the host PC do not work. I can move the mouse, but i can not click!?!?

Thats strange..I have used TeamViewer a couple of times and it has worked perfectly under NT4 mode. But then, I use an older version. I will try out the new version and report it here.
Also, I am not sure that your problem with it has anything to do with the missing libraries, but I might be wrong.

I am using wine 1.1.28 and team viewer 4.1. Could your problem be due to some setting on the remote end?

Hi Vyse,

i use also wine 1.1.28 and team viewer 4.1!

I will explain my problem more in detail:
I can only move and click the mouse in the teamviewer window by the linux computer which i will control over my Windows XP computer. When i drive with the mouse courser to the linux window, i can not click at the symbol. So the mouse click works only in the teamviewer area!?

Maybe you have some problem in the past like this?

If changing your system type doesn't fix it (try them all NT,2k,XP...), you should fill out a bug report at winhq.org / appsdb

run the program from the command line (wine <your.exe>) and provide the command line output (or lack thereof) that happens when you experience "issues"

I'm using 1.1.14 and it's working. I've always had trouble getting WINE up, so now that i've got one going, I'm not too keen on experimenting. Not sure it's worth the frustration.

Bones
Dell Latitude D630 running Puppy 5.2.8 frugal, Macpup 525 frugal (if I can get it working again. Sadly, I couldn't get it fixed :? )
Precise Puppy 5.4 live DVD
Precise 5.7.3 on USB

I usually dont run many programs using wine anyways. but i did use team viewer a couple of times and it worked perfectly fine.
I think you really should file a bug report to the winedb. they should be able to sort it out in the future versions. Mean while, if you have a different linux distro, try out team viewer on it. ( i once had a program which didnt run on puppy but worked fine on fedora...dunno how)

Hi Vyse,

by starting Team Viewer with wine TeamViewer.exe i will become the following message:

Image

So Team Viewer works, but i have also the following failure:
I can only move and click the mouse in the teamviewer window by the linux computer which i will control over my Windows XP computer. When i drive with the mouse courser to the linux window, i can not click at the symbol. So the mouse click works only in the teamviewer area!?
What does this mean in detail? Is there any important information?

I have try it with Windows NT 4.0, 98, XP, 2000 :-( !?
