Hi all!
I want to merge two empty partitions or either delete one I can't find the option..
Also it looks there's no way to delete the linux-swap partition ..
I 'm using gparted.
How to merge, delete partitions with gparted?

I was going to advice you to use gparted to do that job.
Can you explain, why in your opinion it didn't work?

I am having the same problem, I think. When I open Gparted, the resize option is disabled on the swap partition. It's also disabled on the second partition I created with the intention of deleting the first. There is the "swapoff" option, however when I click that, I get the error message:
Code: Select all
Could not deactivate swap
swapoff: invalid option -- v
BusyBox v1.8.2 (2007-11-30 09:20:42 GMT-8) multi-call binary
Usage: swapoff [-a] [DEVICE]
Stop swapping virtual memory pages on DEVICE
Options:
-a Stop swapping on all swap devices

Be careful with Gparted. I tried to delete my swap partition with it and ended up not be able to boot at all. This particular PC also didn't want to boot from any Puppy CD I had. Ended up reinstalling everything.

If they are truly adjacent partitions, if you deleted them, puppyus wrote:Hi all!

you would have 'free space', from the free space you could
make one partition.
I would use gparted if I have to resize a partition, other
wise for an operation like this I use cfdisk from the
command line.
After making the kind of partition you want, then the kind
of filesystem (format) you want. A two step procedure.
It can be deleted for sure. Probably you have to deactivatepuppyus wrote:Also it looks there's no way to delete the linux-swap partition ..
it first.
swapoff <device>
Sorry guys for any redundancy in my posting, got no
excuse for doing it either.
