International:
Newyearspup02
http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=37960

The Mini/Midi/Maxi versions include around 80 to 100 MB of localizations in addition to the localized libc ( UTF-8, around 145 languages ).

As this puplet does not use "by hand" localized files (only those supporting external mo files), some wizards are english, that might be already translated for some of the "one language" puplets.

This thread includes localized versions of some of Puppys wizards (with external mo files, the preferable way):
http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=38371
I encourage/please people to use these, so other translations to other languages are simpler to add.

Puppy is not localized by default because it is not a heavyweight distro like Ubuntu, OpenSuse, Mandriva, Debian or Fedora. Although there may be something to be said for the way all the translations are done in-house and come in "official releases" unlike Puppy.

This is a wonderful information.

You organized all the links.

computerophil and MU, May I list the links in my website I am building now?

you don't have to ask me such things, why should I say no :)

here is a brand new spanish one, very good looking:
MED Look - Taxi Edition v1

**edit, no, it is no iso, it is a pet to change the look.

Your site is great, it shows many screenshots of localized puplets.

Ofcourse you can use it and when you find further information you can add it.
(e.g. I couldn't find valid links for puppybr.1zz.org and Ferrari_Reply_1.0_ita.iso)

Now I found it:
http://www.ziddu.com/download/4326379/F ... zip.html
These are just collected links but not my property. I also had planed to publish them together with a list of old puppy distributions a list of old manuals in different languages and so on.

I think Puppy is so great and I don't think that a 2.12 isn't good anymore.
If you have older hardware it is still good but you can't find that information on Puppy sides any more just some Puppy-fetich- collectors as I am do have some of the links, iso's and knowhow. So it is good if it doesn't vanish.

Please inform us about your page.

Are any Puppy localizations official (like they are in Ubuntu, Mandriva, Debian, Fedora and OpenSuse) or are they all unofficial? Does the localized pages on puppylinux.org still lead to the the latest ISO in English?

Thera are no official derivates not even localizations but they are incouraged by anouncing them in the Puppy-HomePage as Puplets for some time.

Most localizations aren't just a traduction :--(
Mostly those people also add a lot of things and so many of thoso puplets are quite different to original Puppy.
In most cases the original was stil best. Adding too many things distroy the speziality of puppy of beeing small, working on every machine and doing nearly everything you want. Often it isn't adding Plugins or let's say Java. Often they change desktop add OpenOffice (I preferoriginally GnomeOffice)
I think also the choice of Seamonkey is perfect (it has also a html-editor and a mail-client, includet)

Is there someone who knows an alternative mirror?

COMPUTEROPHIL: Does this page have what you are looking for? (Note there are two links in it.)

CRETSIAH: The English Hacao homepage is...is...??? The Vietnamese home page looks like a business site (see this translation, with link to original) - still available for download here. I note there seems to be a regular and a "pro" version??

Hope this helps!
