pebee has some larger firmware sfs packages that may have the firmware to get it working with Bionicpup32.
https://www.mediafire.com/folder/k2j223jzddy9x/firmware
Download the sfs package.
rename it the same name as the fdrv sfs in Bionicpup32 frugal install.
replace the installed fdrv sfs with this one.
Reboot.
See if the network connection manager now sees your hardware.

The things they do not tell you, are usually the clue to solving the problem.

Is it now working in Bionicpup32 8.0?
If yes.
In Pup-Sysinfo->Devices->Network
Post the info it gives.

sorry no, there no linux sources >ubuntu 16.x, I think xenialpup-7.5 is the latest compatible one but is without it.. win10 drivers work, but can't be wrappered? no xp drivers. if you could post kernel sources address for xenialpup32-7.5 I could compile my own. the device is a usbmodem, the only one this pc has. the driver for the internal wifi card /the card [intel n300] does not support PSK2 encription. ilwifi. if i had rtl8723eb and rtl8723_common I could download kernel sources directly into my usb version of xenialpup., but it hasn't either of those.
I thought wn823n needed rtl8192eu driver. If so, for xenial 7.5 nopae kernel 4.9.13, look here:

Help others.
Give some details about found it where and maybe a link.

loaded the driver, but the stupid thing doesn't support my router encryption, which I cannot change. I will HAVE to cable connect my phone to access the net to get the kernel sources. sfsget might need more information to download it. I have very limited phone data.I'm really getting annoyed with this. hopefully I can compile a viable driver supporting encryption from the tp-link site. otherwise, it's a waste of money, as i bought it just for this pc, and I can't use it. any other internal wifi cards from ebay won't arrive til at least june!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! if I have to buy another card, where can I find out if the drivers and cards support modern encription?

You could connect with lesser encryption just to get this (5-10mins).

@boof, as per your original request, I made a driver for bionicpup-19.03 32bit kernel 4.9.163-lxpup-32-pae, using your suggested source. Is here: http://s000.tinyupload.com/?file_id=774 ... 5723181894

Hi boof,
There is a driver for a tplink usb stick for upupbb 19.03.
realtek-8192eu-k4.9.163.pet - It is available from peebees driver page
https://sourceforge.net/projects/zestyp ... c/drivers/
Additional info about the driver etc.
http://murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic. ... 26#1024426
Might be what you are looking for. Contains both driver and firmware.
You may need a reboot after installing the pet or you may not.

As perdido said, you may need driver AND firmware. Another place for firmware is here:
http://anduin.linuxfromscratch.org/BLFS ... e/rtlwifi/
Copy all 3 rtl8192eu firmware files from link below into /lib/firmware/rtlwifi , load rtl8192eu driver & reboot, saving.
