You sound like you're a Hitchcock fan, or that type of thing. Would I be far off the mark there?

Mike.

On the money mike, North by Northwest a classic, I'm downloading it now, using VLC to save/convert the stream.

I watched Arrival. I think it's a chick flick. I enjoyed Another Earth much more. Mayhem got taken down on YT, or I would have posted it here. I guess most movie buffs have seen Passengers?

I have a feeling that foumovies is either defunkt or they are making it a pay to view set up.
Over the last 3 months I've experienced reCAPTCHA, and more recently being redirected to another site where they want to charge to watch.
Pity after Mike W introduced it to the forum I've downloaded a few movies which mostly have been enjoyable.

I found this little app called Leonflix. I actually came across it via this forum. Someone asked for advice how to get it to run, but the thread mysteriously got deleted.

Check it out here:

You need to run it as no sandbox to run as root, but once you figure that out, you're good to go

P310don, are you certain you posted something about Leonflix somewhere else in the forum?

Hey, thanks for that, Don. Works perfectly in Bionicpup64!

Easy enough to make up a launcher for it, too. Put a script in /root/my-applications/bin, something like this:-

Code: Select all

#!/bin/sh
#
# Start 'Leonflix' AppImage
#
/path/to/your/AppImage --no-sandbox
Does the job a treat. You can drag this to the desktop & tart it up with an icon, or make it up into a full Menu entry, so you can start it from, say, Menu->Multimedia.

That's another one for the AppImage collection. Cheers!

Yes Flash. Not sure what happened to it, but it's long gone. Was about 6 or so months ago.
