I've got a notebook with 30gb HD. After zero-filling the entire drive I tried installing puppy to a 1GB ext3 partition (I want Puppy to be my only OS on this machine). It went good, according to the installer (including the installation of GRUB into MBR). However, when I reboot I get the message:
I'm sorry, it seems I can't delete my post now - my mistake, when I searched for similar problems I noted that there were many QA topics in the Howto forum. Perhaps someone could move it than.
More information? Well... I don't really know what to look for. This is all the information I get. I can only press h to try again (no results) or boot Puppy from a CD. No errors are reported during the installation, I chose only the defaults (except for MBR, as advised by The Creator).
Run gparted or fpart & make sure the ext3 partition is marked as "bootable".
This shouldn't be a problem, but just checking all the bases.
Boot from CD & try to access the ext3 partition & copy a file to it & read it.
Short of anyone else helping, try reinstalling it again...
