Hello,
Any help will be appreciated.
Machine: HP HDX Premium Series 4gb RAM
Distro: Tahrpup64-6.0.5
The Palemoon menu updater failed to update PM25 saying it couldn't retrieve latest update.
So, I downloaded the PM64 tarball from Palemoon site.
I placed the download into /opt and extracted the file.
Now PM25 will not initiate.
I am using 'Slimjet' from Quickpet Browser selection to get to forum.
EDIT: You know what? I've played with Slimjet all afternoon. I like it. Palemoon has been so problematic on my system I think I'll abandon Palemoon to Slimjet.
In-the-meantime, how can I get Palemoon back into it's place as it is the default browser and many puppy apps depend on it?

For others with same problem.
PaleMoon with version 28.0.0 changed how it updates.
Update is now built into PaleMoon.
Help>About Pale Moon>Check for updates.
So, if you have a version older than 28.0.0
There are some pet packages you can use to get a newer version.
Several in the forum.
In Tahrpup 6.0.5 I used this one from the Xenialpup repository.
http://distro.ibiblio.org/puppylinux/pe ... 0-i686.pet
After installing the pet start PaleMoon.
Help>About Pale Moon>Check for updates.
Several times of doing this will get PaleMoon updated to the latest version.

The things they do not tell you, are usually the clue to solving the problem.

Yes, it will change PaleMoon to version 28.0.0 in Tahrpup 6.0.5 and overwrite the paleMoon in the iso.
Well, you do have to have Tahrpup 6.0.5 installed.
Frugal install using a save or full install.
Yes that PaleMoon 28.0.0 pet is for the 32bit version of Tahrpup 6.0.5.
This one should work for Tahrpup64 6.0.5 (64bit)

It should work OK.
Tahrpup 6.0.6 was mainly some improvement tweaks and minor updates.
One thing I like about PaleMoon. It does not constantly want the latest possible, dependency software, with each new version.
