Vickie,
I got a question, is there any reason for you to keep the worst operating system ever written by anyone (Windows ME) on that machine? If not you can save any data you want to keep from it and wipe the disk and make that a Puppy machine if you want to. Just think no more "BSOD" Heh Heh Heh ...

Hi,
I'm new of Puppy.
I have installed Puppy Linux 2.16 on my old HP Omnibook 4150 (pentium II, 128 MB RAM; 5GB HD).
It works very well and I'm proud of it.
Now I must configure my network device.

making Puppy a PXE server ?
I have Googled, and I have only been able to find how to install Puppy via PXE.
What I am looking for is the reverse. I want to make Puppy be a server.
Any tutorials?

In that same discussion Béèm suggested running Roaring Penguin PPPoE, but that did not work for me. I use Verizon DSL which is apparently PPPoE and I know my username and password. Can you explain why it fails?

Re: pup-431.sfs not found
Just thought I'd confirm;
On my TP 600E, with the 4.3.1 live CD, I could only get past the "pup-431.sfs not found" error by using F2 followed by "puppy acpi=force". But had to do the "puppy acpi=force" every time I booted, even when using the save pup files at shutdown.
I also have a TP 600E.

add Opera as menu item
I was able to successfully download and install Opera 10.50.
However, it did notify me that a menu item was not created. How do I do this? I have Googled and searched this forum and have not found an answer.

Puppy on Toshiba Satellite 110CS
My sister gave me back this laptop.
I want to install Puppy on it; it currently has Windows 95.
No CD drive just floppy.
Please point me in the general direction.
Thank you in advance.
