I reinstalled Lupu again; same story; works great for a fortnight or so then I get this error again :?

It's a frugal install to the HD. Menu.lst looks fine. I'm using Grub4Dos as the bootloader.

I'm using Lupu 5.2.8 and I keep getting this error message when booting. Luckily I have a Slacko install too so I can still talk to you.

When I investigate the Lupu folder initrd.gz is there, so I'm somewhat puzzled.

Also while I'm here, how do I delete old installations of Puppy?

That was probably my fault for saying it was a PS2 type joypad; I meant t was a Playstation 2 clone, not that it had the old school connector. Sorry for any misunderstanding there.

When I clicked on it in the menu nothing happened but I managed to find out what libraries were missing through trying to run it in the dreaded terminal. It also seems the joypad has to be in analog mode to be recognised.

Success! I managed to get QJoypad running as it should by installing various libraries. I've only tested it with the iNES so far but it's working well.

No middle mouse button as I'm on a laptop but I did manage to create a text file for lsmod. Still not having any luck finding jstest in PPM.

I've tried various joystick calibration tools such as JSCallibrate, QJoypad etc to no avail. I've no idea what the make and model is but it's a generic Playstation 2 type ...

This hasn't been working to well for me. I copied the contents of the ISO to a folder in my C:\ drive and ran Grub4Dos which means I can boot into PuppyArcade fine but once I'm in hardly any programmes want to run apart form the emulators. I also never got a setup screen :?
