Changing default download / install directory for Puppy PM?

Hi, been using linux for the past six months and Puppy has always been my #1. It always works and is as snappy as anything. Currently using Lucid 2.2.5.

Anyway, I recently created a new PUPsave .2fs file. I made this one only 68Mb for a quicker shut down time. My first download from the Puppy ...

FBpanel will not save settings after reboot or shutown

Hi,

I agree with only 25g mb RAM, try saving the sfs files on the usb stick, because puppy useally loads them into RAM.

I would recommend BroweserLinux 401. I use it on my older computer and it works great, super light, and quick.

Check it out:

Just came across this and thought it was worth a mention here.

Gorgeous interface, and make sure you look through the rest of the thread as he is constantly adding new great pictures.

Default look & feel is important..

The choice of distro can be decided based on that. Esp if the user is not too tech-savy or lazy.

I agree, a screenshot of the desktop speaks a million words to me.

It's almost like when you see someone, and decide whether or not you would get along with them ...

There are a couple of links out there to watch the whole movie which can be found easily. I will not post the links due to paranoia.

I recommend it, chilling, scary movie. (Prepare yourself for this one ...

Are you running puppy purely in RAM? aka just off the live-CD with no installation whatsoever? You may be running out of RAM space.

I had a similar problem. If I opened too many tabs in FireFox or tried to watch a youtube video, firefox would just disapear.

My problem was not enough RAM. (only ...

Change Desktop/background/wallpaper on BrowserLinux

Hi, I know BrowserLinux is designed for fast websurfing, but I was wondering if there is anyway to modify the Desktop at all? Even if it's just changing the background image.

completely blank.
To be honest I hope the card works. I am just assuming it does because everything else works great, ie. the motherboard, RAM, and CD-Drive. It also doesn''t help that I am completely new to linux and have no ideas for troubleshooting myself. Thanks.
