FWIW. I have had problems with Reboot since I started to use Puppy. Nowdays I always shut down totally before I boot up again.

Lots of ubuntu-universe repo games won't run ootb in lupu!!!

I was informed of this by exxtreme on the #puppylinux IRC channel

The fix is very simple. The reason is that the games' executables install to /usr/games .. that's a funny path I thought! Well it's how the ubuntu/debian devs compiled ...

If you by lauchbuttons mean new desktops:
Desktop>Desktop Settings>Openbox window manager config. Open Desktops and start as many Desktops as you need.

I have a weird problem with my microphone on my Amilo laptop where i run 245. As I do not have a built in mic in it, I use an external mic.
After a lot of struggling trying to get it to work with Skype, I finally succeeded in setting up the Alsa mixer to accept it.

ntfs-3g-2010.3.6-i386.pet worked fine in 237.

As I am running Luci-237 I did copy with two ROX-windows open.
When copying to a NTFS hard disk I get the same error message as the other guys. But the file is copied OK.
But when copying to a vfat usb-memory no error message.

Installed 243 on Intel PC. First frugal and save with all SFS files worked fine.
It found eth0 immediately. Sound worked.
Installed 243 on Amilo Laptop.
Everything worked out as above.
Found wireless connection wlan at first run. Sound worked just fine.
Everything still OK after save. No red cross ...

In 242 the taskbar disappears when I for example start Iron.
The only way to get it back is to Restart X-server.
Once I have done that I sometimes have to click on pwireless2 to get back my wireless connection.
I can see in my other PC where I run 237 that there is a command for Openbox that says ...
