Thank You very much MU - wxMusik is working flawlessly.
I've tried xmms music box already - it's ok, but wx is more suitable to my needs.

I'm sorry, it seems I can't delete my post now - my mistake, when I searched for similar problems I noted that there were many QA topics in the Howto forum. Perhaps someone could move it than.

Hard disk boot sector invalid - can't boot after HD inst
I've got a notebook with 30gb HD. After zero-filling the entire drive I tried installing puppy to a 1GB ext3 partition (I want Puppy to be my only OS on this machine). It went good, according to the installer (including the installation of GRUB into MBR). However, when I reboot I get the message ...

Erm... Central European fonts could be added. Puppy 2.14 completely trashed all my settings, and installing Polish fonts (so I can type correctely in Seamonkey and Gaim) is a PAIN and I've been unable to set up my puppy correctely ever since. I remember previous editions of puppy required only to ...

Abiword is an excellent word processor. It's enough for a student of high school, or university such as me. Gnumeric is also enough in many cases. However, openoffice split into separate programs would be a great idea, because this would allow us to install only Impress (giving us everything we need ...

Yes, it's the plugins - I didn't have time to check them all, however the most important for me - enabling openoffice 1 and 2 (sxw and odt) on Puppy work perfect, so I can begin some serious editing now.

How to activate Puppy 2.10 Abiword plugins?
Hello
Puppy has plugins for Abiword in /usr/lib/Abiword/plugins directory - so throuh the in-program menu of plugins I go to that directory and try to add some plugins (like openwriter and opendocument), however it says, that it can't install add them. Am I doing something wrong? In the manual it ...

VGA-TV converter - Puppy on a TV screen
Hello
I've thought of buying a cable - TV-VGA converter (Euro ------ Vga/Jack), to watch some movies on a TV from my old computer. Is it going to work with puppy? Or there's no point in buying it?
My hardware:
celeron 700
324mb ram
matrox millenium 8mb
AK 66 C-MEDIA CMI8738 music card

Re: Puppy on Mac Hardware Anyone?
Besides, to get street cred in this forum you have to run Puppy on a pentium 1 with 32Mb of RAM that you fished out of the river last week and isn't quite dry yet 8)
I'm doing that: on an AT class motherboard with an old AMD 32mbRAM, 40meg hard drive. CPU cooling is passive and it workes. On the ...
