Precise Puppy partition

I want to partition my hard drive for four Linux systems, Mint 17 is first ,LXLE will be second and Precise Puppy will be third. Fourth don't know yet.Should the puppy partition be ext3 or 4

Precise 5.7.1 should be OK on either format.

For other Puppy versions.

Depends on what version of Puppy.
The newest versions should handle any format.
Older versions may have problems with ext4, because support for ext4 is not in them.
Ext3 would be good for anything.
The things they do not tell you, are usually the clue to solving the problem.
When I was a kid I wanted to be older.... This is not what I expected :shock:

Does puppy install cds ask for the install partition or not, I was told some linux systems do and then you have to do a special partition in gparted.

Yes the Puppy Universal Installer will ask what partition to install on.

At one point you will be asked about partitions, after it looks on the computer to see what is there.
It gives you the choice to use what you have or run Gparted and change stuff.

The Puppy Universal Installer only does something when you tell it to do it.
It gives you options for installs of Puppy and you decide.

It has guidance information explaining the choices offered, so make sure to read before you choose.
