If you are using a wifi router try airdroid app from Play Store:

There is an excellent Android app: WiFi File Transfer.

Search on the Play Store for it.

If the Samba filesharing app on your ando acts as a SERVER, then you just need to run one of the Samba CLIENT apps already in Puppy. Look in the Network menu.

On my Google TV (Android 4.2.2, kernel 3.4.5), I use ES Explorer for LAN media access. On Phone, using SAMBA Server (Ice Cold Apps).

Excellent scenario found here

Hope this helps

I use ES Explorer as well on my Android tablet.
I've found problems when making a network file copy to an external
memory card, so I copy to the internal card instead.
