How to install alsaconf on Slacko 5.5

I need alsaconf to set the sound driver on my pc. otherwise the sound only works occasionally.
Unfortunately, on Slacko 5.5 it has been removed. I heard there are issues with alsaconf, but I wonder if its possible to work around these and have alsaconf present?
