XBMC Precise Puppy

#1 Post by divisionmd »

Hello,

- I have been running the XBMC quickpet .sfs file for awhile (Eden release).

And it works great in Puppy Linux Precise.

However i wanted to try out to compile the latest XBMC version (12.2) witch has less crashes/more bugg secure.

However ran into problems - with this error:

/xbmc-standalone: line 56: 12379 Killed $XBMC
RandR extension missing
libva: VA-API version 0.32.0
libva: va_getDriverName() returns 0
libva: Trying to open /usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/dri/nvidia_drv_video.so
libva: va_openDriver() returns -1
libva: VA-API version 0.32.0
libva: va_getDriverName() returns 0
libva: Trying to open /usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/dri/nvidia_drv_video.so
libva: va_openDriver() returns -1

Anyone got time to help me out - compiling the latest XBMC version on Puppy Linux Precise?

Thanks for help,

Best regards,
Johan

1. On my 2012 desktop PC...
Downloaded the "xbmc-12.2_frodo_sfs4.sfs" file to my /mnt/home folder...
In Precise-5.6.1...
Used "Menu->Setup->SFS-Load on-the-fly" to load the SFS...
Seems to work just fine.
Went to dump.com and viewed a couple of videos with no problems.

2. Regarding my "Raspberry Pi" [R-Pi] connected to my 32 inch Sony Bravia 32EX503:
I have 3-off 16GB SDMC, each holding 1 OS as follows:
a. OpenElec XBMC.
b. BerryBoot Puppy Linux [not sure which version].
c. Debian Wheezy.

Is it possible or worthwhile to attempt to get your XBMC working on the BerryBoot Puppy?
