I looked in Puppy Package Manager for the bandwidth/speed assessment tool "lperf" and didn't find it.
I also looked for jperf, same result.
So I requested lperf in gongetit and it started to process with errors as it failed to find it.
PROBLEM ... Ctrl-C, Ctrl-X, esc, etc were all useless -- I could not stop the gongetit process -- so I finally used right-click & close (though I didn't check on the process).
Why doesn't gongetit respond to a request to stop?
Does anyone have a PET for "lperf"?
The guy who told me about it made ir sound like a really valuable tool, though reading the following site was intimidating (I guess jperf is a front-end that makes it more user-friendly):

gongetit - no way to stop the search?
