#1 Post by swiatmar »

Hello!!

How can I change the keyboard layout from US to PL after setting Xvesa in Puppy Linux 4.3.1

I found a xmodmap and put it to /root but nothing is happening :(

I was trying to find some related post but they are very old and lot of links are not more avaible :(

The .xinitrc file in /root

Find the line with "xmodmap xxxx"

Then change xxxx to the path to that file.

If such a line doesnt exist, insert it at the back

I'm pretty sure it already exists (and uses ~/.Xmodemap).

Does xmodmap work with Xvesa at all?

swiatmar: Xvesa doesn't even use a config file (just started with the video mode given on the commandline), so it probably uses the same keyboard as the console, so you probably need to run the keyboard wizard...
