puppy quirky will not recognize pcmcia

latest version of puppy quirky wireless notebook network card 802.11b belkin I am a newby only used windows prior.

There are many forum posts and threads with this problem. I've read through most and tried just about all the fixes. Bottom line for me is that Puppy is not reliable with any PCMCIA device. I have gone to using only USB devices (including wireless) and found them all to be well supported.

I also have a compaq laptop. Fluppy works well on it.
