Edit:
The Bug Tracker is available here:
https://github.com/puppylinux-woof-CE/woof-CE/issues

The previous bug tracker at: http://code.google.com/p/puppy-development/issues/list is no longer available.

I added a simple bug
Must admit, having tried all previous attempted bug tracking systems this was the easiest

Yes I could have added more info etc
but at the basic level
you give a title
and add info on the bug

So far
Simple!

Perhaps we can sticky this thread mods?

When I click the “Issues

It only displays open issues, not the most recent one. I closed the initial test issue. (You can change it to view all issues if you want to see closed ones too and there is also a search function)

Reporting bugs - easy
checking out code - did not seem easy
- in fact I could add a comment to code but not check out
this was with Jeremys code (Pizzasgood)
- eh did you lock it so crazy cructaceans can not check it out
or am I just incompetent? (probably incompetent)

Since this thread is more about the bug tracker, I replied in the other thread.

Hope this bug tracking system is active. I entered a bug on 4.3.1

I have been proposing solutions for what I can and a couple others. It has been much easier to track this way, but it has been slow to adopt. I have not had time to transfer bugs from the forum for tracking (both issues and fixes). Would anyone be willing to take this on?

Technosaurus,
I am of the opinion that your bug tracker is intended solely for 4.4CE, am I right, wrong or confused. I see several reported issues described as being about Puppy 4.3.1. Would you please list which versions of Puppy your bug tracker is intended to track.
Thank You

PS: I see several issues that have no owner, were these submitted anonymously? If so how can bugs be submitted anonymously or would the answer to my query be obvious if I signup?

Anyone should be able to submit a bug for any version of Puppy. If a bug is not assigned then it is assigned to "all" (anyone who thinks they have input that would help to fix it). ttuuxxx may be using the 2.X forum thread for tracking bugs, but if there is no "quick fix" feel free to post it on the issue tracker. I for one find it much easier to track bugs this way since each issue has its own "thread"

you can either sign up or log in to your normal google account to post an issue

People continue to use the forum thread to post bugs and many have not been added to the issue tracker as yet. This is an important step to ensure that all issues are properly tracked... some should also then be bumped upstream to the developer (abiword bugs to abiword for example) Still looking for a volunteer for this.

Yes very easy to use...I will dig out my other unfixed bugs to add soon.

Indeed easy to add a bug report.
But will the people who are supposed to port a solution be aware of this fact?
Do they agree to work with this system?

I really hope so.

Problems with Seamonkey 1 and bug tracker

I wanted to add some detail to a bug report and logged into Google Code. I could get into my account details so I was definitely logged in. However the bug tracker wouldn't recognise that I was logged in. This was using 430Small, i.e. Seamonkey 1.xx. I had no trouble with the seamonkey 2 on 432V3. Has anyone else tried seamonkey 1 on bug tracker?

Congratulations

@Technosaurus:
Congratulations with 4.4 alpha. It is the first puppy in weeks that I have tried, that I plan to keep. Macpup and E17 are clumbersom to use, and don't show well on my display. Lupu 501 in first instance would not work on my PC (video) and I had to revert to VESA to get a picture at all (unlike earlier puppies like 431). And 501 looks don't appeal to me. Appart from that I was forced to start (slow speed) a download of a browser before I could use it.

Soo much different is 4.4

Everything works out of the box. And the theme changer, and icon adder, basic set of puppy apps. All great. In such a small iso. I did not go through a thorough test yet, but that will happen soon.

I did have a problem with the google account, so I'll mention my bug here: the calculator doens't start.

This thread should get un-stickied.

Google code shut its doors in 2015

Or am I missing the mark?

Need to change the subject of this topic so it is something about Woof-CE and no longer Google.
