Problem -- devx_400 won't work on my system

#1 Post by MattN »

My boy gave me a mini-ITX m/b with an AMD AM2 Processor. I initially tried to install Puppy 4.1 on this system, but could not get it to see the network (the board has two LAN channels, a Integrated Realtek RTL8111B/C PCI-E LAN and an Integrated Realtek RTL8211B LAN PHY LAN). The system would not find any LAN. I got the 4.1.2 Puppy and it finds two LANs and allows me to install and run the network (consistently).

I then installed VirtualBox on this system and have been using it to test out the new stuff coming out of the Puppy group. So far the Develpup is causing me major grief. Not only can I not get to the network, but I can't even see the virtual disk. I am going to mess around with it (if my wife lets me) and see if I can get something working.

One other thing about this little board, it will only use vesa when running as a virtual system. Something else to look into,

Matt
