Up until few minutes ago it was working fine. I changed the password of the root and suddenly it doesn't work anymore. I used the option that allows you to open the terminal directly from the directory. The terminal I used to have wasn't like this one I'm showing you in this picture https://postimg.cc/8jxKD455. If I change to spot this is the screen I am presented with https://postimg.cc/7JZHHDKg

Does anybody know what's going on?

Always, always, always tell us the exact Puppy version you are running.
Stuff is different in each one as much as stuff is the same.

How did you actually make the root password change?
Why did you change it?

bionicpup64 8.0. I opened a terminal and typed in "passwd". I was just playing around with puppy :)

Maybe try to change the password back to the normal one used.

Code: Select all

woofwoof
May be better to run password changer, with this command, to make sure you are changing the root password, back to default, for Puppy.

Code: Select all

passwd root

Playing around with Puppy will be much safer when there's a backup of save file or save directory.

One could also run Puppy with pfix=ram. This will not load any save files etc. So, everything done wrong is lost after reboot.
