where can I download wmctrl and jhead?(SOLVED)

I installed ScPup64 to HD, frugal and find it very nice. I need these 2 files for scripts to manipulate placement of apps in virtual screen (wmctrl) and rename .jpg files using exif data (jhead).

both can be download in PPM only in 32bit of ScPup, but not in 64bit. wmctrl 1.07 pet file for 32bit does not work.

anyone help?

If not one of these to run 32b binaries on 64b, pkgs.org has the 64b builds.

Just curious: Do you really "need" jhead? Renaming capabilities are similar if not same as in exiv2, a command line tool already included in almost all Puppies.

I can only advise that the package (32 bit) at

https://slackware.pkgs.org/14.1/slackon ... k.txz.html

Works for Puppy Tahr (32 bit). I have found in the past that
slackware binaries have a fairly good track record of compatibility with puppy linux.

There is a 64 bit equivalent, --

https://slackware.pkgs.org/14.1/salix-x ... j.txz.html

Which may or may not be compatible with 64 bit puppies. I can't say for sure having never used 64 bit linuxes.

These are compiled from source code in ScPup64

I agree that exiv2 is a great tool - unfortunately with a silly name. Who would expect a photo management tool? Sounds more like a virus.
