I got an old and slow pc, but at the time, we could play many excellent good games : 8)

half life 1 and 2
age of empire 1 and 2
diablo 1 and 2
command and conquer
gta san andreas and vice city
fallout 2 and 3 and new vegas
skyrim
warcraft 3
team fortress 2
serious sam first encounter
counter strike
etc

Now, do you know how to get excellent games like that, which could work on linux and on old PCS ?

Nobody got the nostalgia for such excellent games ?

Prboom (doom 2 engine) runs great on Debian Dog Stretch and I assume would also run great on Puppy. There are lots of free .wad files to run on it.

you can run something like DosBox that runs really well in Puppy Linux and play the many many many PC games that ran on DOS machines.

there are a few websites around the Internet that have lots of these games archived and are to be had for free.

It is easier to find the games that ran on Windows 95 , Win98, XP and Windows 7 and run them using wine. Search the forum there is a lot of good info in using wine in Puppy Linux.

Or use the MS-DOS games in the DosBox which I have made a PET package in Bionic64 for which can be downloaded here: https://rockedge.org/kernels/data/PET/B ... x86_64.pet
