What is the latest version of Frisbee?

Hi.. I have several versions of Puppy Linux that incorporate Frisbee..
The one I'm using at this moment is Bionic Pup, and it uses Frisbee 1.4.9 which is great because it see my WiFi and i can connect very easily, However I much prefer another Puppy Linux pup called Snow Puppy based on Lucid Puppy which I think use Frisbee 1.4.4.
I went thru ALL the USB based configurations without success.
( I use a WiFi dongle )
So I have tried to find Frisbee 1.4.9 in my Puppy Package manager but it only finds the 1.4.4 version and warns me I already have the later version installed.
So.. how do I get the latest Frisbee SFS package? I have found Frisbee 1.4.9 online at ibiblio.org/puppylinux/pet_packages-slacko/ and downloaded it.. but its a PET file.. Not sure how to install that in my Lucid / Snow puppy or if its even compatible?
Can someone please advise how I can update my Frisbee in the hopes It will see my WiFi so I can connect.
Why is the latest vsn not found in my package manager?
Thanks
Gary

Here is the Frusbee topic:
http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=106426

The Frisbee pet package should install by left mouse clicking on it.

However, Frisbee or any other connection tool, is not going to work, unless the WIFI hardware needed kernel module and firmware is there to use.

What is the WIFI hardware?

Very new hardware is probable not supported by the Linux kernel that is in Snow Puppy based on Lucid Puppy.

That is not enough info for what hardware is in the WIFI dongle.

Try this in a console(terminal).

Code: Select all

lsusb
Post what it shows.

In the console.
Highlight to copy.
Right click menu paste to put in a forum post.

I tar gziped files under /usr/local/frisbee into a single file.
I place here to retrieve from another computer at a later date.
