Delta updates are periodically issued and can be found here
They have to be applied to the original .iso
The original .iso can also be generated using a reverse_update
Only the latest delta has to be applied as it contains all changes made since the original iso was released.
For versions up to and including bionicpup32-8.0+15 built on: Fri Nov 22 11:11:02 GMT 2019....
If you wish to download chromium using the 'Get Web Browser' menu item, please run the following command in a terminal:
For older systems that won't boot PAE kernels - new kernels have the forcepae option and adding to kernel line gets it to boot. (note there's a space after -- )
To avoid network interface renaming:
net.ifnames=0 on the kernel line should force naming as eth0 wlan0 etc.

Looks like PPM is broken.
In the first package you select everything works fine calculating dependencies and size required. In the second it freezes.
If you change repo or category before the selection, it freezes at the first package.
If you search for a package it also freezes at first attempt.
This is with or without updating databases and at puppmode 5 or 12.
Sorry no time to look at it.

I just downloaded the iso from the link in the first message of this thread and did a new install.rockedge wrote:I can not get a correct download. md5 is wrong after 10 attempts
what am I doing wrong here...is the delta 2.8 megs?
I think to use the delta you need the original iso from the thread before this one and I've misplaced that one.
I used the delta for upupbb-18.05A.iso which is a renamed original upupbb-18.05.iso on 2 different machines and seems to work
but the md5 for upupbb-18.05A.iso___upupbb-18.05.iso.delta did not match.
from : https://sourceforge.net/projects/zestyp ... a/download
the md5 that I am calculating = 5f3d6c88a8751cb51cc391ff5a6541a2
and generated a new ISO -> upupbb-18.05.iso
anyway both ZoneMinder and Shinobi CCTV packages work side by side and I got Flatpak and using it got GIMP 2.10 to install and work.
nice work peebee! this is a great base to test out some serious development platforms...in style and FAST....
Dell Optiplex 990 4 core 8 gigs RAM
Dell INSPIRON E1505 2 core 4 gigs RAM
and I can change the wallpaper and so far the PPM is working...

save file problem
running 18.05 on a dell laptop. Booted from DVD and created save file on hard drive. Upup creates save file with contents, but on reboot, does not recognizes the changes in the save file. Problem does not occur with previous version
Re: save file problem
Having had a problem like rockedge, I downloaded the newly-updated ISO. Mine is a frugal install to HD, which uses the SaveFile created with 18.04. No apparent problems using the SaveFile: including updating PPM and changing the Wallpaper. Then Saved and rebooted to a desktop which displayed the changed Wallpaper.tlchost wrote:running 18.05 on a dell laptop. Booted from DVD and created save file on hard drive. So if there's a problem it must be in the routine 18.05 uses to create a SaveFile.

Re: save file problem
Both using a venerable 18.04 savefile updated to 18.05 and with a pristine Grub4Dos frugal install from the updated 18.05 iso to SDD on an i5 based laptop, any changes are saved correctly to either the updated or the newly created 256Mb EXT2 non-encrypted savefile. Wallpaper, touchpad setup, SNS wifi and firewall setups all survive reboots correctly here, both on the updated 18.04 savefile and on the newly created savefile under the updated 18.05. No optical drive on this lappie so I can't check DVD installs (I've never done one to be truthful).mikeslr wrote:Having had a problem like rockedge, I downloaded the newly-updated ISO. Pups currently in kennel :D Older LxPupSc and X-slacko-4.4 for my users; LxPupSc, LxPupSc64 and upupEF for me. All good pups indeed, and all running savefiles for look'n'feel only. Browsers, etc. solely from SFS.

I cannot replicate your problem - please give more details of your setup including format of savefile, contents of menu.lst etc. When you say "previous version" do you mean upupbb-18.04?
md5 given is for the "new" 18.05 ISO after generation - NOT the delta.....
SF is back when I just tested.
