This how-to is addressed to users of trinitydog, the easiest way to have fvwm-crystal installed.
FVWM - Crystal aims to create an easy to use, eye-candy but also powerful desktop environment for Linux or other Unix-like operating systems. Its goals include seeking for better ways of using window manager and providing it with eyecandy interface.

Fluviol : minimalist theme framework for FVWM[-Crystal] :

Trinitydog users can install fvwm-crystal from apt (sudo apt install fvwm-crystal).
That's it, no configuration files to create or modify. After installation, log out and log in, searching for fvwm-crytal as your desktop environment.

But doggone crystal is a tough nut to crack on some things---what we take for granted in many of our other ddogs DEs requires some real digging with crystal. It's a learning curve, no doubt.
