CUPS in Slacko 64-6.3.2

When accessing the CUPS Printer Wizard, it brings up Firefox and the page
localhost:631.

However, when selecting Administration, Classes, or and other of the
options, I get Internal Server Error

The only thing added to the raw install is an sfs version of Chrome and
LibreOffice from the repository.

Any ideas would be appreciated

Administration, Classes, etc. is working for me with Slacko 6.9.6.1 32-bit.

Have you tried to unload Chrome sfs? Permissions problems may break cups. The only way to solve the problem is to uninstall the bad package.

Hi, watchdog.

We figured out orrin's problem. It was my Chrome SFS package!

I knew as soon as he posted in the Chrome SFS packages thread what the problem was. CUPS not working.....hell, it was permissions for sure!

I build my packages using components from the Chrome .deb downloads. I usually change permissions on all the components before I run 'mksquashfs'.....but, this time, I forgot.

'Course, as we all know, .deb packages (especially Chrome!), have a habit of 'breaking' CUPS. I've only just learnt, this evening, how to change permissions recursively, on the contents of any given folder, using the terminal.

I used to do it all manually..!
