I'm ok with them dropping Windows 7 and 8 support. More Windows 10 users means more MS haters means more who will support Linux or Apple instead. That's my theory anyway. They can dig us their own grave without user intervention. R.I.P. MS
My dad already switched to a Macbook to avoid Windows 10. I switched to Linux.

From other sites, I gather that MS will only support W10 on those chips. Not that other os's won't work.

Hi Trobin.
If I read the article correctly, nobody knows yet if any Linux would work
with those CPU chips.
And of course, there is no shortage of fall-back computers!

If one were to read only that one site one might think that. However, I believe that there is an upgrade to Linux 4.7 that will handle Kaby Lake chips...
