HP Pavilion g6 - touchpad not working

I'm having trouble (ie., it's dead) with the touchpad when I use puppy on my HP laptop.
Oddly, it worked fine for a week or two, then it just stopped. Going back into the touchpad set up has achieved nothing, so I'm currently having to use the keyboard or usb mouse to navigate around the os.
I regularly use puppy on an Asus Eeepc. So I'm wondering if some settings have changed while using this and this is why it no longer works on the hp.
Attached is, hopefully, enough information to make a start on sorting this problem out.
