I'm releasing a streamlined version of the Options-tool of the remaster suite. This script does not replace the options tool in the official nicOS-Remaster-Suite but may be useful to some. Note: This one is different from and replaces the version I posted yesterday. I'll stick with this one.

Attached to first post.

I'm updating the streamlined options version. Replacing previous version, attached to first post. Changes:
1. User input screens reduced to only two.
2. Compression settings set to default xz compression.
3. Changes to alsa settings were not saved when choosing to customise. Fixed.
4. Some changes to text in dialog boxes.

Another update of the streamlined version basically adapted because of the "new" trend to have a seperate (extra) fdrv for firmware. Changes:

1. The remaster script will produce only one remastered file, the new base sfs, which will EXCLUDE any contents of an existing zdrv and fdrv. This means that the existing zdrv and fdrv will remain untouched. Previously, any firmware in the zdrv and fdrv were added to the new base sfs. The zdrv (if it contained some firmware) was also reconstructed and a new one created, this will not happen anymore.
2. Fixed the alsa settings store issue.
3. User dialogs updated.

Added to opening post, replacing the previous effort.

I've decided to publish only one official script to replace all previous work on this. I feel this satisfies my objectives of a user friendly alternative to puppy's builtin script. Attached to opening post.

I agree with Rockedge.

I used the NicOS-remastering tool for the first time the other day and was very pleased with the result.

Thanks for the effort you have put into it.
