Just letting you know. I used a multiboot iso made by exton and installed to 4 gig sd card.Ok, sure. Let me know if it's not on your side.
I used the gparted to nuke the number 1 row.
Code: Select all
# parted -l

vangaurd_carolina made with unetbootin. So I figured I'd start with a clean slate.
Rebooted with the live usb of carolina_vangaurd and just went with the installer straight off.
I told the insaller to look in directory since I am running a install FROM usb.
Installer gives me /dev/sdb in left window pane so I left click it.
All the greyed out files from vanguard now show in the r/h window pane.
I pick go ahead and install. Then when done I proceed with grub4dos install.
I pick my internal drive mbr to install to which is flagged as "boot"
Let it do the defaults with no edits.
In other words. I do a "I have no clue so no edits during the install process".
Posting from it now with the pendrive pulled. Personal save was made at 512MB. Install partition is ext4. All applications from live session carried over into the installed session.
So not sure where I screwed the pooch. But previous errors were my mistake. So that is why I went into this long explanation in this post. To try and make matters clear.
Everything works. Touchscreen, Sound, Youtube. Wireless. Trackpad. Usb and SD ports.
Nothing more to say but to run it like I stole it.
Thanks to Battleshooter.
