Yes and nodoes it have gcalctool, calculator? did you get rid of a window manager?
We thought about it--it's only 1MB or less though, and we might have gotten there without removing a wm.

It is a static package aragon made. I was using yours but I had a problem with the "navigation" area, back and forward arrows, url bar, etc, disappearing. when it loaded a page. We also used your p7zipxz combo along with an unrar pet so we have good coverage in pupzip. Linux people have a lot of use for compression and it irritates me to have to download a new decompression program to deal with one file. So we should be in good shape.also is it the static dillo browser package I uploaded? your using
thanks

Yes. It will be 2.7.7. Here's the deal. I could have built luci-244 *one more time* and included 2.7.7 in the Packages-puppy-lucid-official file, or I could have shipped it like it was--I shipped it like it wasAt the time of typing, the newest version of Pidgin in PPM is 2.76 whereas the version that comes with Luci 243 is 2.77.
Right decision, you'd probably have found something else you've forgotten after doing that.playdayz wrote:Yes. It will be 2.7.7. Here's the deal. I won't be burning the disc until tomorrow anyway so there's no rush.playdayz wrote:Tell you what, I'll do it now, and if you update databases in PPM after about an hour and then download from ibiblio you can get it. Or, duh, I could just post a link, eh?

Speaking of package databases, processing the Ubuntu ones takes a while on my K6 2 500 even having done a full install of Lupu 511. Is it possibly to copy the ones that I download and process on the Pentium D to the other machine?
Thanks for again a great OS, I've enjoyed testing it even with the problems I've been having with the new apps on the K6.
Did you give a command in the terminal like cp -a /mnt/sda1/ blah blah blah? And the disk you were copying to was ntfs and you saw those errors?Downloaded and installed 244 FRUGAL (Lin'N'Win)
I still have the copy problem, but I discovered it happens only when copying to a ntfs partition. Copying to a vfat doesn't show those errors.
Yes, all you need is /root/.packages/Packages-puppy-lucid-officialJades wrote: Speaking of package databases, processing the Ubuntu ones takes a while on my K6 2 500 even having done a full install of Lupu 511. Thanks!playdayz wrote:http://distro.ibiblio.org/pub/linux/dis ... 101128.pet
I suspect that some of the developers for Ubuntu Maverick have taken the opportunity of the new OS version to abandon the K6 series. Not to worry, I've done a full install of Lupu 5.1.1 on it and it's running beautifully. I have also installed some of the newer pets from Luci that do work on it.playdayz wrote:I personally be the K6 is not going to run Lucid 5.2--I would love to be proved wrong.
That's more or less when I think mine was built. It's a Time 300 series I got from a colleague who was scrapping it. Finding Win98 drivers was a complete pain as few manufacturers (the ones still trading, anyway) had Win98 drivers available from their sites. By contrast, Lupu 5.0 booted straight up from the Live CD.playdayz wrote:I'd say Wary and Lucid 5.1.1 for that old guy. I had one myself--bought it in Fall '99.
Thanks to both of you, that'll save a lot of time!playdayz wrote:Like micko said and here's the link.
