I copied the libxml files from my ScPup 32 frugal install and placed them
into ArchPup 32 after renaming the included files in ArchPup. Osmo now
works as expected, haven't noticed any oddities yet, other than I forgot
a symlink the first try and pmount/unmount wouldn't fire up...figured out
what I'd done and copied symlink, now it works! If I run across a problem
will post and let everyone know. Booted into ArchPup 32 with LXDE now!

@Wiz57
yes I remember this bug.
Only compilation of a version with enabled debug feature showed the true reason

wdlkmpx fixed this bug and patched osmo and libgtkhtml
unfortunately no puppy distro contains this patched version

I compiled this version under Slacko 700 RC3
should work in Arch32Pup too
downgrade of libxml2 is not needed and not useful

osmo-0.2.10.w.1-i686.pet
libgtkhtml-2.11.1.w.1-i686.pet

Thank you norgo. I may download your pets for future use, just in case!
Do you have any idea why these patches are not in any Puppy? I'm
assuming they were commits to GIT, but if they weren't perhaps it would
be prudent to do so?

"One-off" Updates - lots of Arch changes happen..... it is a rolling distro after all:

118912e80f9c19ad762755eadea095db Arch32Pup-20.05+0.iso

6c8482f964bb056f5b8e7a9f3ac5bcea Arch64Pup-20.05+0.iso

One mystery with the 32-bit version - I tried a newer 4.14 kernel and it killed alsa - no idea why....

do you mean the used kernel 4.14.173 or another version ?
This version is working for me, no sound problems detected up to now.

Another version - tried 4.14.176.
I'll build another newer version to test sometime....

Kernel 4.14.182 is fine so maybe 176 was just an aberration....

Thanks peebee! Latest ArchPup 32 iso downloaded, unpacked, booted
and loaded savefile, no problems! Posting under it now, using Palemoon.
Looking good so far!
Wiz

ps...forgot to mention I'm also using LXDE using the SFS you
provided for ScPup, w/o QT, renamed to LXDE_20.03.sfs and
loaded that way. In attempts to load as a ydrv, X would not
start, would drop back to cli, then attempt restarting in a loop.
Loading it as a normal sfs works quite well though.

Thanks peebee for archpup puppy. Downloaded archpup64, installed it, looks great, posting from it using palemoon my favourite browser. Where can I download devx and kernel headers/sources?

Sorry - this is a fairly ad-hoc one-off build and I haven't uploaded the devx etc....
