Nice work again peebee,
It should be the last time i write about it,anyhow bumping in the unknown world of fresh new small annoyance...
I did wrote that upupcc resolved my initmodule create at fresh install weirdness with hid-sensor-hub,well I was wrong,it seem if a initmodule.txt existed in your first save folder it does not rewrite a new one which i was not aware of.
So it did generate that upupccinitmodule.text="kernel/drivers/hid/hid-sensor-hub.ko,kernel/drivers/hid/hid-sensor-custom.ko,kernel/drivers/hid/hid-sensor-hub.ko,kernel/drivers/hid/wacom.ko"
No big fuss, boot stop 2 time 60 sec. ,you just edit the file and next boot is ok.
Did try to find the reason why,got only suspicion... with ubuntu live log
and kernel docs:(HID Sensors Framework)
The core driver registers (hid-sensor-hub) registers as a HID driver. It parses
report descriptors and identifies all the sensors present. It adds an MFD device
with name HID-SENSOR-xxxx (where xxxx is usage id from the specification).
So,assuming it see 2 sensor...which are not "kernel compiled available" puppy generate a "dummy" second hid sensor hub .. if it could be that........
Yes only one tested machine did it,yes all "newer" puppy" behave the same, yes this tabletpc include plenty of Micro$oft love in its uefi bios +no manufacturer intention to offer android support for it , but , give ubuntu team
an applause for getting it sorted out of that not so compliant uefi/acpi bios!
oh...no,i did not tried to compiled a kernel with the missing modules for that tablet.
You too peebee deserve claps ,as all devs,
your puppys are functionnals...and fancy looking.

UPupCC 18.10+2
Could someone please explain differences between:
upupbb 18.05+16 and 18.10+2 ? I've looked all over and cannot get the differences elsewhere. Thanks for any help.
upupbb 18.05+16 and 18.10+2 ? I've looked all over and cannot get the differences elsewhere. Thanks for any help.
Upupcc is woof-built using the binaries from Ubuntu Cosmic Cuttlefish. The latter was released as a "beta" on or about September 28, 2018. Upupcc was published shortly thereafter, on October 19.
A beta release means that while the OS appears to be fully functional, it has not been extensively tested under the "zillions" of differing hardware combinations available. As 'feed-back' from beta users is received, modifications to software packages and even 'core' modules are made.
peebee provides interim releases which incorporate those modifications, or which provide modifications unique to upupcc based on 'feed-back' from its users and/or his own further examination and experience. 18.10+2 included the modification he considered appropriate as of the date of the release of 18.10+2. 18.05+16, published at a later date, included those modification considered appropriate as of that date.
Post script: It has occurred to me that your reference to 'upupbb' may not have been a typing error. Upupbb is woof-build using the binaries of Ubuntu Bionic Beaver. Upupcc those of Ubuntu Cosmic Cuttlefish, an entirely different animal both figuratively and literally. All their core modules are not identical; and the ubuntu repos they can access are different, perhaps holding different versions of applications employing different libraries.
While sometimes the applications built for one can be run under the other, you can't count on that.
What I consider most important about their differences is that Bionic Beaver was published by Ubuntu with the representation that it would have Long Term Support --security updates, other fixes and that its repos would be maintained -- thru April 2023. Ubuntu Cosmic Cuttlefish, however, will only be supported for 9 months.
Puppy Linux is, of course, not bound by what Ubuntu decides. Lucid Puppy was kept up to date for several years after Ubuntu Lucid Lynx had reached its End of Life. But doing so, and especially keeping up with newer software, becomes more of a burden.

"SFS file from official repository" button doesn't work
First of all, thanks Peebee for the great work!
Just a minimal glitch...It seems that the "choose SFS file from official repository" button doesn't work for me...

Both work after a reboot.
However I prefer for banking to boot a pristine Puppy,
add my stored bookmarks, and usually Slimjet and off I go.

Tested by me twice -- booting in a pristine Upup,
I Turned off the start screen.
Enabled firewall and
Next did the sound level
And I had no Lan cable in the desktop.
I installed the above pet by perdido.
I did not Save and Reboot
Instead I hit ...Control -Alt - Backspace together
to go to the prompt.
Then I typed >>>> Xwin and hit >>> Enter
Came back to the desktop
Setup Networking >> Wired or Wireless
Selected Frisbee
Which came up with Wireless networks showing very quickly
Added my password...and it took about 10 seconds to
be enabled and connected.
As stated I did this no save method twice with a pristine Upup.
"""""""'
Then I did another pristine boot...no save
and no Lan cable in.
I installed the pet.
Rebooted with a save file immediately afterstraight afterwards.
I used >> Extension 3 and only 64MBs just as a quick test.
Worked as above flawlessly... and posting now in Upup.
