CamPhoneTab - USB interface for cameras/phones/tablets
In relation to the "Nokia Lumia 610:
1.
b. When I click the "View" button, the ROX window is empty.
c. When I click the blue "Rescan directory contents" button, it shows "(Scanning)" for a half-second or so, but no change, CamPhoneTab folder still empty.
@Semme
2. Though I give the ROX window AGES, it still doesn't display any content.
3. I can click "Connect", and "View", and "Disconnect", and is does all of those, but does not display content [after "View" and "Rescan"].
4. PPM shows "CamPhoneTab-1.1.10" installed...
...And yet the button on the taskbar displays "CamPhoneTab v1.0".
1.
a. "Connected" is shown.rcrsn51 wrote:@Sylvander: If the terminal window shows "Connected", you should be good.
Click the View button. If the ROX window is empty, click the ROX Rescan button - the blue Recycle symbol on the tool bar.

That's OK. Only the background stuff changed. The GUI front end did not.Sylvander wrote:4. PPM shows "CamPhoneTab-1.1.10" installed...

I don't know why you cannot repeat your original success.
The question here is whether the system is fragile with Windows phones or fragile in general.
That I've used both go-mtpfs and simple, the latter is a vast improvement on both 528 and Fatdog 700.
Go-mtpfs would always choke on trying to open my Androids "phone" directory.
Simple allows it to carry through and deliver.

Tried this:
1. Booted from cold.
a. Once at the desktop, connected the tablet and powered it on.
b. An Xfe window appeared displaying /mnt, and including /mnt/GT-P5110.
c. Navigated to /mnt/GT-P5110/Tablet, and there were all its sub-folders.
d. Closed the Xfe window.
e. Ran CamPhoneTab, clicked MTP, clicked "Connect", sh displayed "Connected", clicked "View", ROX window opened displaying /mnt/CamPhoneTab folder EMPTY.
f. Ran Xfe, navigated to /mnt/GT-P5110/Tablet and all the folders still shown.
Xfe->/mnt/CamPhoneTab empty.
g. Looks like CamPhoneTab is no longer functioning; I'll uninstall it and reinstall it.

Xfe is your default FM?
Yes, you'll find active.txt in your root folder. Gzip and attach or post it's contents..
Sylvander, when you again mount your tablet on /mnt/GT-P5110/Tablet and see your sub-folders, run this:Connected the tablet, powered on and an Xfe window appeared displaying /mnt/GT-P5110.
Code: Select all
ps ax > active.txt

At some time in the past, I set up the old arrangement for viewing the content of the tablet.
Cannot now remember how it worked, but...
It appears to have used go-mtpfs-20130628 and MTPconnect_0.9 to do the work [those are still installed].
I must have edited some config file to arrange that Xfe would auto-run to display /mnt.
Perhaps I should install CamPhoneTab-1.1.10 in one of my other Puppies that has no such arrangement installed.
b. Seems the old system is still working, and installing CamPhoneTab-1.1.10 hasn't disabled that.
c. Just now I tried uninstalling, then reinstalling CamPhoneTab-1.1.10, but that made no difference.
I could try deleting the slackosave.4fs file, and restoring a backup copy.
Might lose recent useful changes, but hey-ho that's life.
Unless you can suggest something better.
d. Strange that CamPhoneTab-1.1.10 was working fine at first [which is why I decided to save the installation changes], and now it isn't.
e. Will post again regarding more recent posts made whilst I was typing this.

b. I can easily use Xfe to "Add to archive..." the "active.txt" file.
Decided to choose .tar.gz, don't know if that's the best, or whether it will be accepted as an attachment.
Here goes...
No, ROX is my default, but I must have made arrangements for Xfe to display the content under these circumstances..Semme wrote:Xfe is your default FM?
